Trip #1 January 29th 2003 Seeker/SoftSteel aboard the EXCEL 12days stay aboard.

This trip was a huge success!! We had 23 passengers for 12 days. The weather was excellent & the water calm for the whole trip. The fish count was 286 fish with many releases. We had 69 Bluefin, 159 Yellowfin, 50 Yellowtail, & 8 Dorado. We had 49 Bluefin over 100 lbs up to 154.4 lbs. George "Red" Saunders of Carlsbad won the jackpot with a 154.4 lb Bluefin. Todd Pittman of Carlsbad won second place jackpot & the Seeker trophy with a 147 lb Bluefin. Steve Elliot of Redwood City won the third place jackpot with a 126 lb Bluefin. Gail Wade-Adams had 6 fish all over 100 lbs but was not in the Jackpot. Her fish weighed in at 115 lbs, 152 lbs, 100 lbs, 126 lbs, 151.9 lbs, & 114.9 lbs. The crew did an outstanding job of finding fish & keeping us out of tangles. I have never seen a better crew than this ever. The galley crew did a first class job the whole trip. Trip #4 June 13th 2003 Seeker/Softsteel aboard the Excel 7 days stay aboard. The boat returns to San Diego on June 13th.
